Dr. Barbara Powers graduated from Veterinary College at Texas A&M in 1983.  She has lived in San Antonio since her graduation.  She purchased Ten West Bird & Animal Hospital in 1997, and built the beautiful new hospital in 1998.  She lives with her husband of twenty-seven years Joe Piercy, their beautiful daughter Emma Kai, and handsome son Christian Hoa.  The Piercy clan now includes her adorable dogs Pell Mell and Tumble Bumble, Emma's cat Bad Wolf, three legged cat Fluffy and Hermione, the turtle.  Dr Powers truly believes that every pet deserves the same level of care that she gives to her own, and she selects her support staff that adhere to this philosophy as well.  Her overall goal is to increase your beloved companion's lifespan and maintain their overall health and happiness.  We look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with you as our client.
